There is no play after school. Students wait inside the gate to be collected from school.
Student Absence
If a child is absent for the day, parents are required to contact the school by phone on 4280 7300, email secretary.woree@cns.catholic.edu.au, in writing, via the Parent Portal or MyCE App. Unexplained absences will be followed up with a text message on the morning of the absence by office staff. It is the responsibility of the parent to then inform the office immediately of the reason for the student’s absence.
Section 176(1)(b) of the Education (General Provisions) Act provides that each parent of a child of compulsory school age has the obligation to ensure their child is attending school on every school day, for the educational program in which the child is enrolled. Failure to comply with the obligation in s.176(1)(b), without a reasonable excuse, is an offence.
Late Arrival or Early Departure
Students arriving after the learning bell at 8.35am are considered late and must sign in at the office by a parent or guardian and collect a late slip to hand to their classroom teacher.
Parents collecting students before the end of the school day must sign students out at school reception prior to taking their child.
